A creative mind is a restless mind. No matter what else is going on professionally, I always have something going on in the workshop. When I began crafting custom furniture, I explored ways to transform ordinary objects into something unexpected.
A decorative table made from a salvaged warehouse cart. A rolling bar with custom whiskey rails. A custom logo piece made of welded reclaimed steel and inlaid with salvaged wood. Even a 20th Century Everlast stationary bike got the rescue/rebuild treatment.
With the right eye and easy access to agricultural and industrial elements, these salvaged materials become substantial, singular craft pieces. Clients who commission these items don’t just get an expert piece of work – I add photos of the source materials to tell the story of the piece, linking them to rapidly disappearing vestiges of American history.
